Textile crafts

The "Textile Crafts" section presents some of the textile crafts developed on the Bulgarian lands and flourished in the 18th and 19th centuries: production of silk and the rearing of silkworms, weaving of woolen cloths - abadjiistvo, dyeing of textile matterials with plants, making of woolen braids, textile stamping /basmadjijstvo/, production of goats hair rugs and bags and carpet weaving.

Demonstrations: winding silk thread on a cocoon reeler, knitting of a woolen braid by a cog-wheel, textile stamping with wooden stamps, carpet technique from Kotel.
