The building in which the museum is located was built in 1906 - 1907 for the first vocational/textile school in Bulgaria, which during that period was called the State Model /Мaster/ Textile Factory "Dobri Zhelyazkov". It is located in a symbolic place for Sliven - in the former yard of the State broadcloth factory, built and managed by Dobri Zhelyazkov. Next to the museum is the only impressive building of the factory that has survived to this day, built in 1842 - 1843, today - an immovable cultural heritage of national importance.
The museum building is an architectural monument of culture.
