Making belts with wooden plates

The workshop recreates an ancient technique for creating narrow textile products using wooden plates.

Participants learn about the history and specifics of this technique.

Each participant works independently and creates an ornamented belt with a specific pattern.

All tools and materials are provided by the museum. The finished product remains with its author.

The workshop is held in the museum. If necessary, it can be moved outside in an adapted version.

It is suitable for children and adults.

Duration – 3 hours.
