The educational program "The Role of Water in Textile Production" considers water as an important factor in the processing of wool as a textile raw material and for the emergence and development of the textile industry. It is no coincidence that the first factory in our lands was established in Sliven. Here, water is abundant, literally flows through the courtyards in the city and has a suitable chemical composition.
Participants are introduced to the structural and physical characteristics of the wool raw material and its specific processing in the Sliven region.
Demonstrations of some finishing treatments of woolen fabrics are carried out.
